Alliance Bank has made it possible for its Visa credit card holders to use their cards with Samsung Pay and Google Pay. This includes the Visa Platinum Virtual Credit Card, which has a Dynamic Card Number feature for added security during online transactions.
Alliance Bank Visa card holders can easily and securely make contactless transactions using NFC technology through their smartphones, thanks to the integration of Samsung Pay and Google Pay.
Alliance Bank, which was introduced in April 2023, is the pioneering bank in Malaysia to provide innovative virtual card numbers. These numbers allow users to generate unique 16-digit credit card numbers for different subscriptions, online platforms, and one-time use for eCommerce transactions. The bank recently revealed that they are the first to connect their virtual credit cards with Samsung Wallet.
Adding your Alliance Bank virtual card to Samsung Pay is simple. In the Alliance Bank app, you'll see a Samsung Pay logo. Click on it, then select the option to add the card to Samsung Wallet, and that's it.
Alliance Bank offers a flexible payment plan (FPP) with 0% interest for virtual card users, allowing them to convert recent transactions into 12-month instalments with a minimum spending of RM500. This promotion is valid from January to December 2025.
Between January 9th and February 28th, 2025, customers who link their Alliance Bank cards to Samsung Wallet will get a RM5 eVoucher at specific stores. Additionally, the 15 customers who spend the most with their Alliance Bank cards using Samsung Pay during this time could win prizes like a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 (256GB), Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 (256GB), Galaxy Watch 7 (40mm), and other rewards.
Customers who use the Alliance Bank Visa Credit Card can take advantage of a Buy 1 Free 1 ice cream scoop promotion at Inside Scoop stores when they make payments with Samsung Pay or Google Pay. This offer is valid until March 2025. In addition to the ice cream offer, users can earn extra rewards for their purchases, such as a free RM5 Zus voucher.
In a statement about the integration, Alliance Bank Group CEO Kellee Kam emphasized the importance of constantly improving customer-focused services to provide more value and convenience. In today's fast-paced world, security and ease of use are crucial when conducting digital transactions. By incorporating Samsung Pay and Google Pay into all Visa credit card products, including the Visa Platinum Virtual Credit Card which generates a unique card number, customers can now experience the same high level of security and flexibility for in-store payments as they do for online transactions. This reinforces Alliance Bank's reputation as a reliable partner for customers throughout their financial journey, aligning with their brand identity as The Bank For Life.
In a statement, Charles Kim, the President of Samsung Malaysia Electronics, expressed Samsung's commitment to innovating the mobile technology industry. He highlighted the partnership with Alliance Bank, which allows users to make transactions easily and safely using Samsung Wallet. The goal is to provide a seamless experience for users without sacrificing security, by integrating intuitive mobile features with advanced safeguards.
