AirAsia’s Fixed Fares Offer for Chinese New Year 2025: Fly to Sabah and Sarawak from RM328 One-Way

AirAsia is providing set prices for flights to Sabah and Sarawak for Chinese New Year 2025, with all-in one-way fares starting at RM328. If you are thinking of traveling back to Sabah or Sarawak during the upcoming Chinese New Year, you can take advantage of AirAsia's promotional fixed fares and book a one-way ticket to East Malaysia for RM328.

Chinese New Year will occur on January 29, 2025, so if you haven't purchased your tickets yet, it's a good idea to consider this offer.

Travel to Sarawak for RM328 or to Sabah for RM388 during the upcoming Chinese New Year. This promotion offers a fixed fare of RM328 for one-way flights from Kuala Lumpur to Kuching, Sibu, Bintulu, and Miri, as well as from Johor Bahru to Kuching, Sibu, Bintulu, and Miri.

If you are traveling to Sabah, AirAsia is offering one-way fares starting at RM388 for flights from Kuala Lumpur to Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan, and Tawau. They also have flights from Johor Bahru to Kota Kinabalu and Tawau at the same price.

Please be aware that the discounted fixed fare offer is only applicable to specific flights listed above (one flight for each route) that typically depart close to or around midnight. The total cost of the fare covers passenger service charge, regulatory service charges, fuel surcharge, and additional fees. However, it does not include extras like checked baggage allowance, seat selection, meals, and other add-ons.

You can book the promotion starting today (December 3, 2024) until February 4, 2025, and travel between January 24 and February 4, 2025.

AirAsia announced that they will be running nearly 3,600 flights each week during the holiday season in 2025. They will have over 27,000 seats available at set prices for customers to book.

AirAsia will be capping the base fare for selected flights at RM499 four days before Christmas. This is part of their support for the government's effort to set a maximum price of RM499 for one-way economy class flights from Peninsular Malaysia to East Malaysia during the holiday season. This special offer will apply to flights around Christmas Day in 2024.

Transport Minister Anthony Loke expressed his support for AirAsia's campaign to make travel more affordable and accessible during festive periods. He mentioned the government's commitment to helping people reunite and highlighted initiatives such as the RM499 ceiling fare subsidy and the FLYsiswa program for students traveling between Peninsular and East Malaysia. Loke also mentioned the importance of collaborating with industry partners for the benefit of the nation.

AirAsia recommends that all passengers check in online through their website or app at least 14 days before their flight and use the electronic boarding pass for a smoother travel process. It is suggested that during holidays, travelers arrive early at the airport as baggage drop counters open three hours before international flights and two hours before domestic flights in Malaysia.
