Tesla’s RM10,000 Incentive: Driving Malaysians Towards a Greener Future with EVs

In order to motivate Malaysians to switch from traditional petrol and diesel cars to electric vehicles, Tesla Malaysia has introduced an EV Switcher Program offering a RM10,000 discount. During this promotion, customers purchasing new Tesla Model 3 and Model Y cars can receive an extra RM10,000 off by trading in their current internal combustion engine vehicles.

Tesla's program aims to make it simple for car owners to swap their conventional gasoline vehicles for Tesla's electric vehicles. Through attractive incentives, Tesla is motivating consumers in Malaysia to transition to electric vehicles, which helps in lowering their carbon emissions and promoting a more sustainable environment.

To begin, interested buyers can visit Tesla Malaysia's trade-in page and input their current vehicle's VIN and other vehicle information. Tesla states they provide immediate online valuations for trade-ins, enabling customers to easily determine their vehicle's value. They also promise a straightforward trade-in process that simplifies the transition from traditional gasoline vehicles to electric vehicles.

If customers have any questions about the EV Switcher Program, they can contact 1800 810 655 for further information.

Aside from the RM10,000 trade-in uplift program, Tesla is also providing other bonuses such as interest rates starting at 0% and notable price cuts on its existing inventory. One example is the opportunity to purchase a Tesla Model Y Performance at a discounted rate of more than RM30,000.

As part of the current Green Incentives Program for the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y, customers have the opportunity to benefit from low interest rates ranging from 0% to 0.88% for the base RWD models, with a 10% down payment required. For the dual-motor long-range models, the program offers interest rates of 0.98% to 1.18% with a 10% down payment.

If you have been considering purchasing the Tesla Model 3 Performance, you can take advantage of low interest rates ranging from 1.18% to 1.35% by making a 10% down payment.

The starting price for the Tesla Model 3 in Malaysia is RM181,000 and for the Tesla Model Y it is RM191,000. Those interested in purchasing a Tesla must be aware that there is a non-refundable order fee of RM1,000. All Tesla electric vehicles in Malaysia come with white paint at no extra cost, but customers will need to pay additional fees if they want to choose different colors for the exterior and interior.

Currently, Tesla drivers are able to charge their electric vehicles for free at Destination Chargers, which are AC charging points. On the other hand, DC fast charging at Tesla Superchargers costs RM1.25 per kilowatt-hour.
